Game Over

Sören Senn

During his youth, L. increasingly isolated himself from the world, broke off contact with his family and spent ten years almost solely playing computer games. He gamed 24/7 and the only contact he had with other humans was online. He used to live in a room financed by the social welfare, fed on chips and coke, barely washed himself and didn’t step outside for weeks.

Through the “Project Alp” he comes to a farm in the Swiss Mountain area called “Berner Oberland” and is subjected to a radical online-deprivation.

Will the young man be able to resist the temptations of the internet and computer games in the long term? Will he succeed in grounding himself in the “terrestrial” world again? – And what are the reasons for his radical retreat?
